Endorsements: People joining the Dave for Cave Revolution

by Dave Barclay

You guys, being a MLB FanCave finalist has been a lot of fun, not only because it has enabled my narcissistic tendencies, but also because of the love and support so many people have given me through social media and whatnot. Lot's of people, including friends and family, Jays fans, Canadians, and people who like rhyming slogans have rallied to the cause. With a few days to go in the campaign, I wanted to share with you some real kind words I've received in two categories: Real and Imagined

Real:

"Want me to back you for ? Just be a likable hoser with killer product placement like - Jonah Keri, writer for Grantland and of the book The Extra 2%

"If you intend to vote for someone for the , I highly recommend you vote for . He's a Man of the People" - Tao of Stieb, famous Jays Blogger

"Congrats to  fans Dave Barclay () & Sarah Lever on being an  finalists." - All of the Toronto Blue Jays

"Good luck, you person who is clearly insane."- Meredith Rogers, corporate communicator

"SHUP UP ABOUT YOUR STUPID DUMB LUNCH AND GET PEOPLE VOTING FOR YOU AGAIN" - Ron Sparks, Toronto Comedian

"Dave Barclay of Toronto submitted a video that looked like it was edited by a high schooler, but I think it was supposed to look like that.  It was supposed to be funny, but I didn’t get it." - the Blog "Counting Baseballs"

Imagined:

"Congratulations. You are the only person other than me who can make a good movie about dreams. And also maybe Wes Craven." - Christopher Nolan, director of Inception and other films

"Hire this man." - the MLB Fan Cave

"Hire this man." - the London Police

"Hire this woman." - a viewer with poor eyesight looking to hire a tall, mannish lady

"That foam finger has the old logo on it." - nitpickers

"I love it" - people who love everything

"It's been done" - people who hate everything

"raaaahhhhh!" a computer-savvy dinosaur

Seriously, big thanks go to everyone who has been retweeting and asking for RTs and voting several times a day. It really is heartwarming to know people will give you their support, whether close friends or complete strangers.

Cheers

Dave
